Appointment Nature: Tenure of appointment under research project is 04 years. However individuals needs to register for Ph.D with Two years or as per UGC/CSIR Norms.

IITM Pune Research Fellow Eligibility
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years as on 27-04-2026. Relaxations apply. OBC- 03 years, SC/ST- 05 years, PWD- 10 years.
Educational Qualification: Aspirants should have completed Master Degree in Engineering from any disciplines from recognized institute. Also M.Tech. in Atmospheric/ Oceanic Sciences can apply. Aggregate for General & OBC- 55% & SC/ST/PWD- 50% .
GATE & Other Exam: Individuals should have qualified in any one of CSIR-UGC NET / UGC NET / ICAR NET (Lectureship / Assistant Professorship ) / GATE / JEST.
Desirable Qualification: Demonstrated skills in computer programming, FORTRAN, C,PYTHON and working experience in Linux, UNIX, Windows platforms are desirable.
Salary
Successful individuals will be paid Rs.37000 per month. In addition admissible House Rental Allowances will be paid.
Selection Procedure
IITM may conduct a Written Test/Interview for selecting competent candidates. Decision of IITM Pune will be of final in this regard. Call Letters will be sent through e-mail only.
